How It All Started

Before it was MTI Mobile Repairs, it was just Mike Irwin, a kid being taught the ropes by a family who knew engines. Before there was a license and formal training, there was a garage and Mike, who grew up fixing things. Lawn mowers first. Then dirt bikes. Always something with an engine. With a grandfather who drag raced and a father who drove trucks for a living, mechanical work wasn't just a skill. It was part of everyday life.

After spending 18 years working at an international dealership, Mike saw what the industry often lacked: genuine attention to detail and too many rushed jobs. Too many missed problems. He wanted more control over the work and the quality of service being delivered. That's what pushed him to start his own business in 2021.
